Projecting forward into the future from 1912, we asked ourselves: “What could a future visionary designer from the turn of the century have imagined for a futuristic villa, before the Modern movement foreclosed on particular competing branches of aesthetic thought.” This question then informed a concept design process that sought to discover these complementary building languages that never existed, functionally making a new building which feels as fit for purpose today as it could have 110 years ago.
