Restoration and addition to a much appreciated local architectural icon by Matter Architects in Whiritoa.

A new roof-top living space and a weatherproofing upgrade allow the building to give continued enjoyment to new inhabitants.

Using a tight floor plan based on the layout of a boat, and cantilevering over a storm drain to float between the pohutukawa trees - the original modest bach required a complete restoration and the addition of the roof-top room.
